About The Position

The primary role of Inventory Control Specialist is to be responsible for all operational activities including key deliverables such as planning and analyzing resources and ensuring items are packaged according to specifications delegated by the Inventory Manager to support inventory accuracy. Performing distribution center/warehousing processing and distribution of orders. Maintaining inventory levels. Identifying delivery problems, solutions, and improvement of transportation service levels.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 years of related experience.
  • Basic inventory control knowledge or procedures to handle day to day inventory situations.
  • Minimum of 1 year forklift operator experience, preferably standup reach.
  • Has completed vocational training or obtained equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure inventory discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Management of slow-moving stock
  • Obsolete stock recommendations
  • Inventory accuracy through appropriate cycle counting and rework activities as required.
  • Support roles consist of work in a: (1) clerical, administrative or specialized support tasks in an operations/warehouse setting (2) specialized technical tasks or skilled craft work (3) Inventory research tasks
  • Interacts internally to exchange information.
