About The Position

Citi Trends is seeking a detail-driven and proactive Inventory Control Associate to join our team! In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our operations—ensuring inventory accuracy across our Distribution Center and stores. You’ll play a key part in keeping our systems aligned, resolving discrepancies, and driving processes that improve efficiency and accountability. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in precision and organization. Requirements

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
Critical thinking skills with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions
Clear and effective communication skills across all levels
Comfort working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel (required)
High school diploma or GED required
At least one year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Excel experience required

Nice To Haves

Experience with Manhattan WMS or Island Pacific
Warehouse or inventory control experience
Solid math and analytical skills

Responsibilities

Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies between Manhattan and Smart Retail systems
Prioritize and address issues based on impact and urgency
Support cycle counts and reconcile inventory variances
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate inventory reporting
Conduct daily floor walks to identify misplaced or missing products
Assist in locating inventory to maintain operational flow
Identify and report Loss Prevention risks (e.g., unsecured product, open doors)
Review and correct store transfer discrepancies, identifying root causes
Monitor in-transit inventory ahead of physical counts to ensure accuracy
Ensure damaged goods are properly removed and documented
Contribute to inventory accuracy initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the business
