About The Position

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Inventory Control Specialist to join our team! In this role you will support manufacturing of electrical and mechanical components.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with typically 2+ years of related professional experience.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control processes, domestic and international shipping processes, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
  • The ability to manage multiple projects/tasks at one time in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Candidate must be able to demonstrate strong personal organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
  • Experience using Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Problem-solving skills to identify shortcomings and establish new procedures to improve overall efficiency and overcome inventory issues
  • Candidate must be able to work both independently and in a cohesive team environment.
  • Exhibits technical and operational proficiency in the primary duties of the job family.
  • Plays a key role in implementing projects and programs in the function.
  • Acts as a resource to managers and employees in the organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CostPoint or SAP ERP systems.
  • Previous experience with inventory requirements for government contractors.
  • Knowledge of ESD Processes & Procedures.
  • Knowledge and experience in processing and maintaining government property.

Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory by receiving, issuing, stocking, cataloging, performing cycle counts and supporting quality inspections.
  • Update inventory count and maintain inventory records to share with management and other stakeholders.
  • Report inventory discrepancies.
  • Obtain estimates and price details from different vendors to compare costs.
  • Coordinate logistics support requirements with both internal and external customers.
  • Kit and issue parts for build for both electrical and mechanical assemblies.
  • Reconcile parts received from shipping/receiving with purchasing clerk and match with purchase orders.
  • Assist in developing policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control.
  • Gathers and analyzes data on product plans and project objectives.
  • Provides tracking, status reports, and logistics plans to support and ensure distribution and delivery commitments for manufacturing or servicing of products, equipment, and systems.
  • Develops policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control.
  • Conducts distribution and network studies, monitors, inventory, and analyzes requirements in order to develop strategies to achieve or improve desired results.
