Role Overview The Inventory Control Specialist oversees the accuracy of material and inventory of the branch. Performs regular audits and counts, research, and troubleshoots discrepancies, and implements solutions to increase accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Possession of high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • One (1) year relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to do the job.
  • Computer literate; Proficient with MS Office 365.
  • Proficient in use of Eclipse, Prophet 21, or similar ERP system.
  • Forklift certification required and ability to operate forklift equipment and other relevant equipment used to move products and/or material.
  • RF/Handheld scanner experience required.
  • Ability to effectively communicate [written and verbal].
  • Thrives in a collaborative team environment.
  • Detailed oriented work style comfortable with multiple priorities being juggled while maintaining a consistent work approach.
  • Physical requirements: sitting, standing, walking, lifting for full shift, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling 50 lbs.
  • Ability to pass a background check, MVR check, and drug test.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year of industry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cycle counts – research discrepancies and report to supervisor of findings.
  • Conducting random audits – Tracking and reporting of all discrepancies and non-conforming items.
  • Using the results of the research to uncover the root cause.
  • Recommend opportunities and solutions to improve accuracy of product movement.
  • Ensure all locations and material are properly labeled.
  • SKU ranking – consistently looking for opportunities to move material based on ranking for picking efficiencies.
  • Maintain records and statistics of inspections.
  • Manage Returns – communicating with sales team on returns and obtaining proper disposition.
  • Investigate causes of receiving, inventory, order picking and shipment irregularities.
  • Ability to travel 15% - Assist with new location setup, location moves and training.
  • General warehouse duties as needed.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned or required.
