About The Position

As an experienced Corporate Inventory Control Specialist, you will oversee inventory management operations across our distribution center and multiple branch locations. This role will be instrumental in optimizing inventory levels, reducing carrying costs, and ensuring supply chain efficiency throughout our organization.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of proven experience in inventory control and warehouse operations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory reporting tools
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment

Responsibilities

  • Monitor stock levels and track usage trends to identify slow-moving, excess, or obsolete items
  • Develop and implement strategies, such as promotions, bundling, or liquidation to reduce excess and obsolete inventory and minimize financial loss
  • Coordinate the proper handling of damaged and defective goods, including segregation, documentation, managing returns to vendors and responsible disposal according to company policies and regulations
  • Manage cycle counts and inventory adjustments, reconciling discrepancies between physical stock and system records (ERP/WMS)
  • Collaborate with the purchasing team to adjust future orders and demand forecasts to prevent the reaccumulating of excess and slow-moving inventory
  • Optimize stock allocation and distribution between the distribution center and branch locations
  • Prepare detailed inventory reports and performance metrics for executive leadership
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and enhance efficiency
