About The Position

The Inventory Control Specialist is an entrepreneurial minded person that will partner with colleagues across the Operations department, and with key staff throughout Baden Sports to improve inventory accuracy and maintain it at a high level moving forward. This position will have the opportunity to learn all functional processes in Domestic Operations and to make a meaningful impact on overall operational efficiencies and our ability to provide a first-class customer service experience. The ideal candidate for this position loves working with people, is highly detail oriented, has a knack for problem solving, and doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty (literally and figuratively). This critical role is perfect for someone who has had some experience in Problem Solving and/or Inventory Control and would like to continue to grow that skillset.

  • Experience in Inventory Control and/or Problem Solving is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with WMS (Warehouse Insight in particular) and ERP (Business Central in particular) is helpful.
  • Highschool diploma
  • Ability or willingness to learn how to operate powered lift equipment such as Stock Picker or Forklift. Training is available.
  • Team leadership experience is helpful but not required
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) and strong communications skills
  • Proficient in standard business computer applications (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates with the Warehouse Operations Manager to schedule and complete Inventory Cycle Counts.
  • Maintain detailed records of inventory issues and their solutions.
  • Conduct detailed reconciliation of inventory issues both physically and in our WMS
  • Work directly with the Operations Manager and other department managers to identify employees who would benefit from further training and execute hands on training.
  • Regularly present information about inventory to the Operations Leadership team
  • Constant process evaluation, improvement, and documentation.
  • Operate powered lift equipment (Stock Picker, Forklift) daily.
  • Communicate cross-departmentally about inventory as needed.
  • Other duties as required.
