About The Position

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for accurately counting and verifying products in the warehouse, handling obsolete inventory, and ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs). This role operates under the supervision of the team supervisor and involves using handheld devices for inventory management.

Requirements

• 0-2 years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• General Equivalency Diploma or High School Diploma in General Studies.
• Strong initiative and productivity skills.
• Commitment to quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Conduct accurate cycle counts of inventory locations using handheld devices or forms.
• Research and resolve inventory variances.
• Validate dating of products in the warehouse and update as required.
• Audit and correct inbound receiving paperwork and perform audits of SOPs as required by the supervisor.
• Respond to buyer requests for item checks in the warehouse.
• Coordinate the handling of obsolete and at-risk inventory, including vendor returns, donations, and recalls.
• Deputize for ICQA lead as necessary, including allocation of work and monitoring activity.
