The Electrification & Automation (EA) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing in our Future Grids portfolio to create the power distribution grid of the future. We are looking for an Inventory Control Specialist to join our team on 2nd shift. This position will be based at our Wendell, NC facility.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a warehouse environment.
  • 2+ years of experience with forklifts (Sit Down, Stand Up, Order Pickers, Reach Trucks, Cherry Pickers).
  • 1+ years of direct experience with performing Inventory Cycle Counts in a warehouse environment.
  • Experience with SAP/ERP system, RF Scanner devices and MS Office applications.
  • Ability to occasionally lift parts or sub-assemblies weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory by conducting cycle counts and comparing them to inventory logs and documents using SAP.
  • Support warehouse operations and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Safely operate stand-up reach trucks, order pickers, and sit-down forklifts in high-traffic and narrow aisle areas, performing daily equipment inspections.
  • Collaborate with peers, factory personnel, and auditors to ensure inventory accuracy and support warehouse operations.
  • Plan, organize, and audit parts/locations; analyze and resolve discrepancies; and initiate corrective actions when needed.
  • Reconcile inventory records, maintain statistical data, and communicate findings effectively.
  • Serve as backup for employees on leave, working independently with minimal supervision while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prioritize safety, maintain a positive attitude, demonstrate high attention to detail, meet deadlines, and work well as part of a team.
