About The Position

As an Inventory Control & Quality Assurance (ICQA) Leader, you will oversee assigned ICQA responsibilities and supervise a group of ICQA team members and I nbound P roblem S olvers in execution of those quality routines, functions, and research. You will be responsible for the leadership & development, coaching, and performance management of the training team. This includes providing frequent constructive and critical feedback on work quality to enhance individual performance, providing guidance and direction, and leading, developing, and administering performance management, reviews, corrective actions, and terminations. You will oversee all onboarding and completion of required training for new hires and support overall continued enhancement of the team’s capability. It’s expected that you develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization. You will be responsible for root causing quality defects and pre-receipt defects within the operation and analyzing the site’s operating methods and procedures to identify gaps in inventory control and quality assurance . You will lead improvements within inbound receipts, bin and location accuracy, order cancels, and other quality indicators identified through process audits , w hile also identifying and escalating vendor trends in pre-receipt defects and damages. In leading the ICQA department for a distribution site, you will determine the appropriate methods and problem solving tools to use and implement new practices/procedures, inclusive of leading kaizen and continuous improvement events. Requirements

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • Work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in an environment with frequently changing and competing priorities.
  • Ability to navigate web based ICQA reporting and forms (such as Microsoft SharePoint/Microsoft Forms/Smartsheet).
  • Six-Sigma/Lean Thinking/Quality Management/Continuous Improvement/Process Engineering experience
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to a variety of audiences; strong reasoning, and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical, operational research, root cause, and problem solving skills
  • Proven ability to motivate teams and manage conflict; ability to provide feedback and develop team
  • Ability to read, interpret, and effectively communicate necessary policies and procedures to others
