About The Position

The Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all inventory control functions within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures accurate inventory levels, efficient material flow, and alignment with production needs. The Inventory Manager plays a key role in minimizing waste, reducing costs, and maintaining optimal stock levels to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

Requirements

3–5+ years of inventory management experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of inventory control systems (ERP/MRP systems preferred)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred
Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices (preferred)
Supervisory or leadership experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

Oversee daily inventory operations including receiving, storage, and distribution of raw materials and finished goods
Maintain accurate inventory records through ERP or inventory management systems
Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories; investigate and resolve discrepancies
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement and production teams to prevent shortages or overstock
Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices
Analyze inventory data and generate reports on usage, trends, and variances
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with warehouse, production, and purchasing teams to optimize material flow
Manage obsolete or slow-moving inventory and recommend disposition strategies
Train and supervise inventory staff, as applicable
