Inventory Control Group Lead - 2nd Shift

Position Summary The Inventory Control Group Lead supports daily Inventory Control operations within the Distribution Center and reports directly to the Inventory Control Supervisor. This role functions as a working lead, providing day to day guidance to associates, reinforcing inventory accuracy, safety, and compliance standards, and supporting execution of operational priorities.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of Inventory Control experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment
- Handson experience with cycle counting, inventory accuracy, or slotting processes
- Basic working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Ability to lead by example and provide guidance to peers
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to work in a fast paced, metrics driven environment
- High School Diploma or GED required
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience as a lead, trainer, or acting supervisor
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Exposure to the 5 S’s of lean (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain)
Responsibilities
- Support daily Inventory Control functions including cycle counting, slotting, inventory accuracy, root cause analysis, and Golden Zone execution
- Provide on-floor guidance to associates to ensure tasks are completed accurately, safely, and on time
- Reinforce compliance with CVS standard operating procedures regarding safety, quality, and inventory control standards
- Assist with training, onboarding support, and work assignments as directed by the Inventory Control Supervisor
- Identify and escalate inventory discrepancies, safety concerns, and process issues
- Support 5S, cleanliness, and lean practices within assigned areas
- Assist with audits, data collection, and basic reporting
- Collaborate with other DC departments to support balanced workflow and daily operational targets
