About The Position

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records through cycle counting, investigating discrepancies, and assisting with inventory control procedures. This role plays a critical part in meeting supply chain objectives, managing inventory systems, and assessing and improving flows of supplies through the facilities.

Nice To Haves

• Previous work in manufacturing and/or inventory control.
• Previous experience in ERP systems and Bill of Material structures.
• Experienced in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and perform cycle counts of inventory following an ABC schedule.
• Reconcile inventory variances and discrepancies between physical counts and ERP records, especially those considered high dollar, high risk, or long lead time items.
• Investigate and resolve inventory errors, identifying and fixing root causes.
• Maintain accurate records of cycle counts, adjustments, and discrepancies.
• Monitor inventory activity in Syteline ERP system. This includes timely job closure in manufacturing.
• Help to establish procedures in manufacturing that affect inventory accuracy.
• Work with accounting to prepare for and support yearly bank audits.
• Process and monitor deviations to inventory, updating affected jobs and ensure material is issued correctly.
