The Inventory Control Coordinator manages the hospital's inventory located in the general storeroom. Ensures that proper products are stocked and amounts are maintained on hand to satisfy customers needs. Monitors inventory weekly thru cycle counts and daily by site inspection to ensure proper amounts are on hand. Receives and dispenses medical/surgical supplies to all user departments and outpatients in a prompt and efficient manner.

Requirements

• High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), GED equivalent programs, and/or other Vocational degrees/certificates.
• Knowledge of Lawson Materials Management System
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Responsibilities

• Monitors all Lawson inventory reports and transactions (WH130,IC222,PO30). All reports are reviewed and corrected a minimum of three times per day. All corrections are cleared daily.
• Verifies/signs for incoming warehouse supplies and records receipt appropriately. All receipts are documented, signed and maintained in department files on a daily basis.
• Processes all vendor return forms. Assembles and packages all goods. All outgoing packages are securely and neatly packaged in accordance with UPS, Federal Express, Freight Companies and/or US postal requirements. All processes are followed to document the return in Lawson to enable proper credit to the department. Ensures that each has the proper documentation required by Hackensack Meridian Health.
• Exhibits excellent customer service skills. A courteous/friendly and customer service attitude is displayed at all times. Maintains a clean and customer friendly area. Must be able to problem solve and direct customers effectively. Makes information available to allow customers to find and document products taken from inventory. Handles all issues appropriately and timely.
• Interacts with all Material Management customers, internal as well as external. Communicates /interfaces with hospital personnel and others. Delivers/directs orders to departments. All orders are delivered to proper departments the same day they are received. Signatures are received and filed in the Receiving Department on a daily basis.
• Fills requests for supplies and inputs issues accurately. Physical counts are within 5% of system balances. Assists in conducting cycle counts. Ensures that cycle counts are done on a weekly basis. Forwards reports to Supervisor on time. Maintains on-hand inventory. Rotates stock to prevent loss. Physically inspects warehouse to ensure adequate level of goods are on hand to service our customers. Shelves are properly labeled. Reviews matrix reports daily for access to the storeroom and compares to products removed from inventory and reconciles.
• Tracks, maintains and restocks all Specialty Carts, i.e., Crash cart, Isolation, GU and Latex free Carts are restocked in a timely manner. Implements all updates and/or changes to the specialty carts and communicates changes to the required parties.
• Other duties and/or projects as assigned. Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
