About The Position

Harlequin, a division of HarperCollins, is seeking a Inventory Control Coordinator (1st Shift, 6:00am-2:30pm). This position is repsonsible for maintaining accurate inventory through cycle counts, variance analysis, and reconciliations. Collaborates with team members to resolve discrepancies, improve processes, and ensure smooth product flow. Assists with training, documentation, and special assignments as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Three (3) years’ experience in inventory management, distribution and/or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills, must be willing to work with all levels of the business.
  • Proficiency with computers (MS Office, Outlook, PkMS and JDE) preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot at a high level, make or propose solutions to complex situations.
  • Ability to work under pressure, in a fast passed environment, multi-tasking, with strong attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently, with proven time management skills to meet company driven deadlines.
  • Certified in fork truck, cherry picker, and Drexel preferred (certification required).
  • Demonstrated solid communication and interpersonal skills. Professional verbal and written.
  • Strong safety focus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates / performs inventory management functions such as cycle counts, variance analysis, balance reconciliation and physical inventories
  • Maintains accurate and organized records and writes explanatory narratives when needed.
  • Verifies availability of inventory prior to order download.
  • Identifies and analyzes gaps in inventory processes and collaborates with leadership to implement improvements.
  • Ability to identify process errors and provide constructive coaching on tasks performed.
  • Ability to conduct research transactions to confirm out-of-stocks, black-holed inventory.
  • Works closely with associates, team leads, supervisors, and managers when collecting data and conducting investigations and gathering information.
  • Maintains product flow through out facility, utilizing available reports.
  • Participates in meetings.
  • Assist in training others.
