About The Position

The Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate stone inventory records, managing scrap and salvage processes, and compiling key data to support Refinery reporting and decision-making. This role requires strong organizational skills to update databases, process information, and provide weekly reports to Plant Management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of prior relevant experience
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Access and Oracle
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Edge)
  • Flexibility to work after hours for urgent project setups
  • Ability to travel to Eagan, Minnesota for special projects
  • Proven ability to manage a diverse range of tasks efficiently
  • Creative and innovative problem-solving skills

  • Prior experience in a jewelry manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Set Ups - Create stone set-ups in databases, add costs and tare weights, and finalize purchasing costs.
  • Manage inventory item setups in Oracle.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service Representatives to set up item configurations for product offerings for accounts.
  • Oversee Inventory of Stones - Perform transactions of inventory ins and outs, along with year-end inventory for stones held at Southtown
  • Fill out inter-organizational transactions when moving products between Jostens’ plants and departments.
  • Create purchase orders for APS and Receiving in the stone inventory from invoice.
  • Ring Scrap - Coordinate the process that recycles used stones and diamonds. (Knocking out stones and cutting out diamonds out of rings)
  • Tracking stones and salvage diamonds.
  • Sending the stones and diamonds to the plants or to the vendors.
  • Back-up other parts of the refinery as needed.
