About the position

Focuses on three key aspects of inventory control: planning and adherence of cycle counting and inventory accuracy processes, handling customer and vendor return processes, and ensuring proper placement and slotting of inventory. Completes cycle counts and compares inventory to system records. Develops cycle counting plan and helps ensure company benchmarks are met. Investigates and reports reason for inventory discrepancies.

Responsibilities

  • Focuses on three key aspects of inventory control: planning and adherence of cycle counting and inventory accuracy processes, handling customer and vendor return processes, and ensuring proper placement and slotting of inventory
  • Develops cycle counting plan and helps ensure company benchmarks are met
  • Completes cycle counts and compares inventory to system records
  • Verifies counts against physical inventory and completes inventory adjustments for discrepancies
  • Investigates and reports reasons for inventory discrepancies
  • Reviews and addresses operational inventory metrics such as 20 list, inventory adjustments, and Advanced Shipping Notifications to resolve any inventory discrepancies, make appropriate corrections.
  • Receives, unpacks and stocks materials
  • Processes customer returns, oversees damage and defective inventory returns
  • Handles Return Goods Authorization (RGA) with vendors
  • Ensures proper placement and slotting of inventory to ensure safety and efficiency

Requirements

  • Minimum of a two-year business/trade degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3 years or more of experience in warehouse operations or inventory control preferred
  • Prior electrical distribution experience preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of PC for Windows, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint), Internet, Email and SAP software preferred
