About The Position

Inventory Coordinator Position Summary The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring efficient material flow within a manufacturing environment that produces wire belts, conveyor components, and related assemblies. This role supports production by coordinating material movements, performing cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring all inventory transactions are properly recorded in the ERP system (SAP). Hourly Range: $25 - $32 hr. Schedule: Monday – Friday Hours: 7:00am-4:00pm onsite

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–3 years of inventory control or warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP or inventory management software. (SAP and Oracle)
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift up 25 lbs. to 50 lbs. frequently
  • Comfort working within active industrial environments while adhering to all safety guidelines.
  • Ability to remain on foot for extended periods and traverse the manufacturing facility regularly throughout the day

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with metal fabrication, wire products, or conveying equipment components.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing or 6S practices.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Responsible for physical inventory.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies through root-cause analysis.
  • Maintain organized storage locations for wire belting materials, metal coils, components, and finished goods.
  • Issue raw materials (stainless steel wire, mesh, rods, sprockets, hardware, etc.) to production based on work orders.
  • Ensure all material movements are accurately recorded in SAP.
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing materials with receiving, shipping, and production departments.
  • Assist with staging materials for fabrication, assembly, and shipping departments.
  • Enter inventory transactions including receipts, adjustments, transfers, and work order issues.
  • Maintain accurate records for lot/heat numbers, material certifications, and traceability.
  • Generate inventory reports and support audits when needed.
  • Inspect incoming inventory for damage, correct quantities, and compliance with specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with company safety policies.
  • Follow proper handling procedures for wire materials and industrial components.
