Inventory Control Clerk
About The Position
A Plus Auto LLC is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Inventory Control Clerk to join our Shipping & Warehouse Department. In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring accurate tracking and control of automotive parts inventory through daily scanning, auditing, and reporting. This is a hands-on warehouse position that involves both physical activity and system work. You’ll be scanning, organizing, and checking parts daily to make sure our inventory is accurate and ready for resale or shipment. You’ll play a key part in keeping our operations running smoothly and ensuring customers receive exactly what they ordered.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- General knowledge of vehicle structure and auto parts names/appearance
- Ability to lift and handle automotive parts of various sizes and weights in appropriate manners
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Willingness to obtain forklift certification if not already certified
- Ability to use or learn inventory and logistics software
- Basic computer skills for scanning, logging, and reporting
- Ability to follow written, verbal, and video instructions
- Team-oriented attitude with a sense of responsibility
Nice To Haves
- Prior warehouse, inventory, or shipping experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Scan and correctly place incoming parts into designated warehouse locations
- Perform regular audits of inventory stored in bins, on shelves, and by location
- Identify missing, damaged, or unsellable parts and update records in the system
- Locate and reintegrate missing parts back into inventory when possible
- Pack and prepare sold parts for shipping when necessary
- Complete daily inventory reports and submit them to the department manager
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
- Operate or be willing to train to operate a forklift
- Follow safety protocols and promptly report any technical or equipment issues
- Support team workflow when main duties are complete by assisting with other warehouse tasks
