About The Position

The Inventory Control Clerk plays a key role in supporting daily production at our Cookeville valve manufacturing plant. Working in a 200,000‑square‑foot warehouse, this position focuses primarily on accurate inventory control and daily cycle counting across the entire facility. The clerk ensures materials are correctly received, stored, tracked, and prepared for manufacturing using scan guns, tablets, and ERP tools. This role directly supports efficient valve production through consistent, precise inventory accuracy.

Requirements

• Strong interest or experience in inventory control and cycle counting.
• Ability to move extensively throughout a large 200K sq. ft. facility.
• Good computer skills and comfort with scan guns and tablets.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage a high‑volume workload.

Nice To Haves

• Material handling experience (any industry).
• Familiarity with ERP systems; Oracle preferred.
• Previous warehouse experience.
• Forklift certification.
• High school diploma / GED and/or 0–2 years relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cycle counts across the entire facility to maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Receive and verify incoming materials and enter transactions into the ERP system.
• Store parts in correct bin locations and maintain accurate stock records.
• Pick, pack, and stage materials for production using scan guns and tablets.
• Process inventory movements and ensure real‑time accuracy in the system.
• Maintain organized storage areas and follow proper material‑handling practices.
• Support general warehouse operations and assist with stock take.
• Follow safety rules and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
