About The Position

Metals USA -- Gregor Technologies Division is seeking a Part-Time Inventory Control Clerk in Torrington, CT. Metals USA is a solid, growth oriented aluminum/stainless steel distribution center servicing the defense, aerospace and fabrication industries. The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible to stock, maintain and disburse inventory and make the appropriate revisions within the ERP system for all inventory transactions.

Requirements

High School Graduate or Equivalent
Basic reading and writing comprehension in English (to read work order instructions).
Basic ability to read mechanical drawings and blueprints
Must have mechanical aptitude and arithmetic skills to calculate and convert decimals and
Demonstrated manual dexterity, finger dexterity, arm-hand steadiness, and multi- limb coordination
Computer Literacy; Microsoft Products, CAD Programming and ERP

Responsibilities

Stocks inventory items (vendor purchases, components, finished products and assemblies.
Kits and disburses inventory items according to the ERP generated pick tickets and travelers.
Picks finished goods in preparation for customer shipments.
Records inventory transactions in computer data system in a timely manner.
Participates in physical inventory counts.
Notifies department manager of any inventory count or product discrepancies.
Completes production paperwork, follows shop system data collection procedures and follows inspection procedures on a daily basis.
Maintains work areas in a clean, orderly and safe manner to include returning tools to designated areas.
Notifies management of product discrepancies or equipment malfunctions, and or personal injuries.
Ensures compliance with established policies and procedures paying special attention to all safety regulations.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Regular and predictable attendance is required to perform the duties of an Inventory Control Clerk.
Adheres to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.
Adheres to Reliance Steel and Aluminum's Code of Conduct as well as customer confidentiality requirements.
Performs other related duties as assigned
