The primary objective of this position is to monitor and track inventory of all flooring products and accessories in the assigned facility/warehouse. The role is responsible for cycle counting and maintaining accurate records of inventory by handling all paperwork and procedures necessary to meet this goal.

  • Perform cycle counts on products in warehouse according to assigned schedule
  • Operate hand-held scanner for inventory counts
  • Maintain all necessary reports and documentation to facilitate accurate inventory counts including records of all audits, counts, and adjustments
  • Run inventory report and check errors by re-checking location of each discrepancy reported
  • Process adjustments to inventory with proper management approval
  • Assist in processing and inspecting returns
  • Process claims and returns merchandise to proper location onto salvage bin
  • Provide management information on inventory problems, corrections, and adjustments
  • Support other warehouse personnel in loading and unloading flooring products
  • May be required to operate powered industrial trucks/equipment such as lift trucks
  • Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
  • Follow all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies
  • Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
  • Perform other tasks assigned by management
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Lift Truck Certification preferred
  • Successful completion of all required on the job training
  • Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training
  • May be required to use department specific database systems such as: SAP, Locus software
  • 1-2 years related experience preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience with cycle counts
  • 1-3 years of personal computer experience
  • Experience in a team-based environment
  • Basic math skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • High attention to detail
