About The Position

The Inventory Control Auditor is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of inventory control, system transactions, and production performance analysis within the facility. Acting as a subject matter expert in operational systems, this role investigates discrepancies, resolves transactional errors, and drives process improvements. The position requires strong collaboration across departments such as production, logistics, planning, IT, and finance to maintain operational excellence and support continuous improvement initiatives. This individual will play a critical role in upholding inventory integrity, optimizing workflows, and providing actionable insights to leadership for decision-making.

  • 1–3 years of relevant experience.

  • Expertise in inventory control methods.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred: Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • Knowledge of SAP, JDE, and data query tools (e.g., SQL) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct Department Leads, production, shipping, and logistics personnel in conducting cycle counts and cycle count reconciliations.
  • Analyze Manufacturing Usage Variance (MUV) reports on closed work orders to evaluate production performance.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) to provide guidance on system interactions and execution across multiple departments.
  • Investigate and reconcile transactional errors in operating systems, ensuring timely order closures, accurate reporting, and resolution of root cause system-level gaps.
  • Deliver timely feedback to the Plant Manager and Finance team regarding system or inventory inaccuracies, collaborating to implement corrective actions.
  • Reconcile unresolved system or inventory discrepancies with Finance and IT departments.
  • Maintain up-to-date expertise in JDE operations, including front-end and transactional processes related to material movements, cycle counts, and other inventory activities.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of company products and operating systems.
  • Ensure the accuracy of Routes, ITs, GRs, FGs, and WIP to support operational efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with Planning, IT, Cost Accounting, Operations, Shipping, and Receiving teams to address cross-functional needs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
