We are searching for an Inventory control associate for our 2nd shift in the Maintenance group that has outstanding communication and critical thinking qualities. This Maintenance professional will be responsible for ensuring the Maintenance Team has the appropriate inventory of parts and materials to efficiently address all equipment downtime and work requests. The position will coordinate with the Inventory controls specialist and Shift Supervisor to continuously enhance our storeroom facility. Inventory control plays a critical and significant role in our ability to maintain our equipment in a timely manner and provide a safe work environment for our 'ohana.

Requirements

  • Food and Beverage Manufacturing experience and understanding of GMP and SQF
  • Experience with a CMMS program and inventory control a plus
  • Basic computer skills and fundamentals of programs. (word excel and outlook)
  • Solid understanding of FIFO and general inventory practices
  • Ability to operate a fork truck and pallet jack
  • Must be able to read and write English to best connect and communicate with the team.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining an accurate count of all parts and consumables in the stock room and verify SOMAX is accurate.
  • Allocate materials in system and issue parts to mechanics with SOMAX part ID tags.
  • Receive parts and equipment and file paperwork in appropriate location
  • Stock all consumable parts and hardware in accurate location
  • Maintain a clean well-organized work area including all parts locations.
  • Build and establish positive working relationships with vendors and purchase appropriate parts based on demands.
  • Report defective materials or questionable conditions to Inventory control specialist or shift supervisor.
