About The Position

General Summary: Provides support to the Manager of Procurement by overseeing the purchasing, receiving, storage, inventory, delivery and maintenance of materials, supplies and equipment purchased by CHC.

Requirements

  • Two years of work experience in similar job or work environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Prior work in pharmacy supply chain preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists coordinator for purchasing of all materials and supplies.
  • Reviews purchase orders for completeness and contacts requestor for more information if necessary.
  • Reviews orders to ensure that appropriate inventory levels are maintained and replenished.
  • Monitors unnecessary or inefficient stock piling of supplies.
  • Contacts vendor about any incorrect shipments, discrepancies and/or replacement needs.
  • Tracks all back orders.
  • Review backorder and coordinates appropriate action and communication to the staff.
  • Pulls supplies for satellites, and oversees the courier function to provide adequate service to all sites.
  • Assure the quality and pricing are advantageous.
  • Makes recommendations designed to reduce cost, update systems, and provide environment approved materials and services.
  • Work with management to establish product standardization to ensure consistency of quality products and to control variation of product.
  • Assist in the research of sources and vendor selection.
  • Participate in CHC’s continuous improvement efforts such as interdepartmental charters and internal streamlining and process improvements.
  • Inventory control and accurate handling of pharmaceuticals, packing slips and invoices.
  • All other duties as assigned.
