About The Position

Maintains all product bin locations along with inventory located at Pelham or Montevallo facilities. Loads and transports inventory between Pelham and Montevallo locations daily. Performs daily adjustments to maintain accuracy. Performs cycle counts. Performs regular and quarterly analysis of all inventories. Assists during bank inventory audits and annual warehouse inventory. Assist the distribution team in locating products when needed. Assist with picking, loading, and unloading duties, as needed, to support distribution team operations. Research inventory discrepancies and submit accurate inventory and bin location reports. Analyze root causes of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Assist in the development and implementation of inventory control policies, procedures, and best practices. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Always follow all safety rules and regulations. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • One to two years of progressive experience in a distribution/supply chain environment preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and can get Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) certified within 1 week of hire is required.
  • Current forklift certification or ability to be trained and receive within 2 weeks.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to squat, sit, stand, walk, and reach daily.
  • Experience using equipment, including but not limited to hand trucks, order picker, pallet jack, and electric pallet jack required.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability with analytical thinking and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with desktop computers and software, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel required.
  • Good attendance and demonstrated work ethic required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous material handling, warehousing, or driving experience preferred.
