About The Position

You will be the Inventory Control and Material Handling Associate for the Production Planning and Control team. Our team ensures seamless flow of parts and materials to keep the production line operating at peak efficiency. What You Will Be Doing As the Inventory Control and Material Handling Associate you will be responsible for managing kitting, stock monitoring, and shipment preparation within our manufacturing facility. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Kitting hardware and preparing it for use on the production line. Monitoring floor‑stock levels, ordering replenishment, and processing receipts. Handling inventory containers, recycling empties, and preparing shipments. Operating a forklift and performing material transport, including occasional outdoor work. Compiling inventory records, investigating discrepancies, and reporting on stock status. MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with a team
  • Experience/proficiency in desktop computing applications
  • Ability to be certified to operate a forklift
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness to work alternate shifts and overtime hours as required
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance and must have a final secret clearance prior to starting.
  • Clearance Investigation/Reinvestigation completed within the past 5 years
  • Candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (“ATF”) background check to obtain approval to be an “employee possessor” “of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in the revocation of an offer and loss of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge and understanding of inventory control practices
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs unassisted
  • Inventory Control and Material Handling experience to include experience using a pallet jack, powered industrial truck/forklift, supply carts, lifting technique, part accountability, and record keeping.
