About The Position

The Inventory Control and Logistics Coordinator will assist in inventory accuracy of materials and finished goods on hand as well as arrange and prepare BOLs, booking shipments, and customs paperwork. This position will assist with daily shipping activities for domestic and cross-border shipments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma is required.
  • 1-2 year of experience in a warehouse related role is required.
  • MS Office, MRP experience preferred.
  • Use of Sage 300 ERP system an asset
  • Forklift certification is required, company supplied on hire.
  • Ability to respond to complaints, coaching, training,
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions, provide guidance, leadership, and creative solutions.
  • Ability to use math, logic, and creative thinking in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Investigate scrap, inventory discrepancies, and obsolescence, including reporting, in necessary areas to assist in troubleshooting.
  • Cycle count pick lines, raw materials, WIP, finished goods, and storage locations for items displayed in the cycle count work queue. Report inventory shortage adjustments to scheduling and/or purchasing to avoid production delays and customer back orders.
  • Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits of both inbound and outbound shipments. Communicate discrepancies with accountants and applicable departments, as needed.
  • Implement and maintain a filing system of the findings, discrepancies, and issues identified during the cycle count or stock taking process to maintain accurate records that can be easily retrieved.
  • Participate and assist in the coordination of year end physical inventory counts. Including accuracy of labeling for visual management.
  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment; address any unsafe conditions or behaviors with a supervisor.
  • Prepare paperwork and interface with OEM, EDI, and ASN customers; BOLs, booking shipments, and ASN regulations.
  • Assist with daily shipping activities for domestic and international shipments.
  • Understand the daily duties of the shipping department and perform the duties as needed.
  • Operate required equipment per safety guidelines, upon proper certification.
  • Perform other related and non-related duties as assigned through on-the-job training.
