About The Position

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is seeking a skilled Inventory Control Analyst to join our team at the Moscow, Idaho printed circuit board (PCB) factory. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in driving inventory accuracy and process improvements across the facility. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to lead inventory initiatives, support continuous improvement efforts, and ensure the integrity of our component part inventory systems. This full-time position follows a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. As an Inventory Control Analyst, a typical day might include the following: Planning, selecting, scheduling, and conducting component part cycle counts; tracking progress toward the annual cycle count plan. Utilizing electronic count equipment and maintaining accurate electronic and paper records. Reconciling inventory part discrepancies and performing root cause analysis. Performing scrap, purge, and outage investigations, along with associated corrective transactions. Analyzing BOM transactions, historical data, and inventory reports to monitor and improve inventory accuracy. Monitoring monthly gap charts in areas of responsibility; developing and executing action items; performing monthly, quarterly, and yearly inventory processes. Defining and developing inventory work instructions; training Inventory Specialist staff; auditing Inventory Specialist and Senior Inventory Specialist part counts and activities. Leading IMI teams to improve processes; recommending and implementing improvements; collaborating with multiple departments to enhance inventory accuracy.

Requirements

  • A college degree in Business Operations Management or Finance (preferred), or two (2) years of experience in production, inventory, logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience using an ERP system to manage component, assembly, and finished goods-level inventories.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Superior organizational skills and a high attention to detail.
  • Strong writing, documentation, and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • 4-year college degree (Business Operations Management or Finance preferred)
  • Intermediate level knowledge of SEL MFG areas and processes; knowledge of SEL component part inventory
  • Intermediate level knowledge of SEL manufacturing processes and component part inventory
  • Intermediate level experience using MRP software, and/or Microsoft AX ERP software
