About The Position

As an Inventory Control Analyst, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a variety of inventory reports, including inventory aging, monthly trend analysis, discrepancy tracking, and obsolete inventory reviews. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams such as Invoicing, Purchasing, Accounting, and Warehouse Operations to ensure inventory accuracy and process efficiency.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience, with a strong focus on research and analysis.
  • Prior experience in the IT industry is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including professional phone etiquette.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong team collaboration skills and a proactive, 'can-do' attitude.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated analytical and research capabilities.
  • Comfortable navigating and conducting research across various internet platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with Manager, Upper Management, department heads and outside vendors to identify and resolve issues of concern.
  • Ensure inventory is balanced across multiple systems by managing exception reporting on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Monitor Warehouse daily inventory cycles, cycle counts and reconciliations of accounts.
  • Be vigilant in maintaining the WMS and act as a WMS superuser.
  • Collaborate with the Sales, Purchasing, and Warehouse team on the resolution of customer issues.
  • Process customer and warehouse freight claims.
  • Prioritize workload accordingly as received through email alias and other platforms.
  • Monitor warehouse facilities to evaluate inventory transactions such as receiving, storage, shipping, and inventory integrity.
  • Coordinate material returns with Warehouse to vendors.
  • Look for inefficiencies for reporting Excess/Obsolete (E/O) inventory; Implement changes as approved by senior level employees or management.
  • Supervise the compliance audits of the controls and SOPs of the movement of goods inter-department and ensure that this is tracked and recorded systematically.
  • Work with Warehouse Expeditor on inventory transfers and discrepancies.
  • Assure inventory and restock compliance with corporate warehouse policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Perform root cause analysis for exceptions/discrepancies and provide corrective action.
  • Assist ICS (Inventory Control Supervisor) and ICM (Inventory Control Manager) in gathering information for internal and external auditor for auditing of the Returns and Inventory procedures.
  • Maintain the RMA and Remarketing inventories - working with Sales and Purchasing to resell product.
  • Communicate directly with vendors on credit status, accuracy, and resolution.
  • Create new PO's and SO's to allow the Invoicing department to bill customers.
  • Perform visual validation of returned merchandise and report any discrepancies.
  • Manage the return to vendor process. Includes item documentation, tracking, adjusting/disposal.
  • Edit customer orders and PO's upon request from Sales and Purchasing departments.
  • Ensures accountability of inventory through transaction documentation, process and procedure verification and system review.
  • Manage special project assignments and additional responsibilities as needed.
