About The Position

This is how you WOW: Core Responsibilities  Compliance & Quality Assurance Conduct regular compliance audits of inbound and outbound processes and records finding with documentation. Audit employee adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all departments, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, returns, and material handling. Ensure constant audit readiness and process adherence throughout the facility. Damage Management  Own the entire damaged inventory lifecycle: identification, segregation, documentation, disposition (repair, salvage, donate, scrap, or return). Maintain accurate damaged goods records and calculate monthly/quarterly damage rates and financial impact. Lead root-cause investigations for recurring damage issues (inbound handling, storage practices, carrier mishandling, packaging defects). Team Leadership & Development Lead, mentor, and support the training of warehouse teams on SOPs. Foster a collaborative, results-driven culture that encourages continuous learning, knowledge retention, and employee growth. Provide ongoing training on WMS functionality, new technologies, and best practices. Schedule and prioritize daily work to ensure operational needs are met while developing team capability and retaining top talent. Continuous Improvement & Process Discipline Leverage data analytics to identify systemic weaknesses and drive measurable process improvements that reduce shrinkage, labor cost, and obsolescence expense. Lead or support Kaizen events, technology adoption projects, and capital initiatives that improve accuracy and productivity. Identify cost drivers in receiving and inventory operations; implement efficiencies and innovative solutions while maintaining or exceeding service levels. Develop, document, train, and audit adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) for receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, returns, and material handling. Customer Returns Oversee the day-to-day execution of the returns process, ensuring all return SOPs are strictly followed. Ensure returned merchandise is accurately inspected, documented, and dispositioned to prevent shrinkage and support inventory accuracy goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, or related field strongly preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive inventory control/warehouse experience may substitute for a degree.
  • 7–10+ years in inventory control, receiving, and warehouse operations within distribution or e-commerce fulfillment.
  • Minimum 3–5 years in a supervisory/managerial role leading teams.
  • Proven track record of achieving and sustaining inventory accuracy goals and significant reductions in obsolete inventory and shrinkage.
  • Hands-on experience with major WMS (Manhattan, HighJump, SAP EWM, Blue Yonder, etc.) and ERP systems (SAP strongly preferred).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, Power Query) and or Google Workspace experience with Power BI or Tableau.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis capabilities.
  • Demonstrated process improvement experience (Lean, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt a plus).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to present to senior leadership.
  • Ability to thrive under deadline pressure, manage multiple projects, and make data-driven trade-offs.
