About The Position

Quality Custom Distribution (QCD) is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team in La Puente, CA. This role focuses on providing exceptional customer service and efficient warehouse operations within a multi-stop, regional delivery service. The position involves professional communication with various stakeholders, managing delivery appointments, and ensuring accurate order processing to meet customer needs. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of relevant work experience in a warehouse/transportation environment
• Knowledge of WMS
• Knowledge of JDE/JDA
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Understanding of customer service concepts and techniques
• Familiarity with general warehouse/transportation operations
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, policies, and procedures
• Experience with Samsara computer system
• Ability to identify problems or irregularities for early resolution
• Effective communication and coordination skills with internal and external customers
• High degree of accuracy in reading and processing written information
• Ability to prepare a variety of administrative documents and reports
• Focus on high levels of quality and customer service

Nice To Haves

• Experience with RF Gun
• Familiarity with FEFO/FIFO rotation
• Experience in system implementation

Responsibilities

• Professional communication and interaction with supervisors, drivers, and warehouse personnel
• Review and respond to e-mails pertaining to receiving communication
• Schedule delivery appointments
• Verify BOL, verify seals intact, on arrival
• Interaction and communication with supervisors regarding timing of assignments
• Print work sheet docs for receiving - pickups, etc.
• Trailer Tracking Documentation, communications
• Backhaul communications
• Review and Maintain Yard check documentation, bring issues to immediate attention of supervisor
• Other tracking - Yard activities …trailers in/out times
• UPS/Fed Ex/DHL receipt, verification, distribution
• Receives and enters customer orders by phone, evaluating and modifying as required to ensure accurate and complete orders and a high level of customer service
• Disseminates information regarding orders, products, promotions, ordering processes (training), etc.
• Processes a variety of documents, including load plans, bills of lading, driver trip records, order adjustments, variances, special deliveries, credits and debits, shortage reports, and product complaints to meet customer needs and to maintain complete and accurate records
• Prints and distributes customer order forms to ensure an effective and efficient ordering process reflecting customers' needs and product restrictions
• Maintains customer files and records
• Scheduling Inbound Appointments in system
• Creating Receiving Documents for warehouse
• Receiving Inbounds systematically
• Cycle Counts
• Investigating Inventory Discrepancies
• Inventory Adjustments
• Warehouse maintenance
• Location Slotting
• Familiar with WMS
• RF Gun experience
• Hold/Recall/Donation procedures
• Familiar with FEFO/FIFO rotation
• Familiar with system implementation
• Performs other related and assigned duties, as necessary.
