About The Position

Winpak Lane Inc. is seeking dynamic results driven Inventory Clerk to join our
Logistics Team based out of Rialto CA. The Inventory Clerk performs basic tasks
necessary for the receipt, storage, and issuing of materials in a manufacturing
environment. In addition, the Inventory Clerk will perform duties related to
cutting and issuing materials in the production saw area and will perform basic
tasks related to shipping and receiving. This role will regularly interface with
machine shop and assembly personnel to assist in reducing delays in production
deadlines.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED Preferred
• 1+ years equivalent experience as an Inventory Clerk in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Ability to engage in active listening which includes providing full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
• Skilled in judgment and decision making by considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
• Ability to speak to others to convey information effectively.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.
• Knowledge of material handling procedures.
• Basic knowledge using various measuring devices including calipers and measuring tape.
• Basic knowledge of computer and Microsoft applications.
• Must be able to operate forklift to unload and load trucks.
• The employee occasionally lifts up to 50 lbs., and occasionally kneels and bends.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of ERP systems a plus
• Knowledge of UPS World Ship, FedEx Ship Manager and DHL Shipping a plus

Responsibilities

• Creates shipping pick lists and pulls material from stock.
• Receives material into stock.
• Performs data entry for inventory transactions. Participates in daily cycle counting.
• Picks and issues parts from inventory for assembly, machine shop and sales orders.
• Serves as back up to: Saw Operator
• Correctly identifies and cuts materials in the production saw area.
