Come join us and help us build for the future! This Role: Our team is currently seeking an Inventory Clerk based in Huntsville, Alabama. This is a 1st Shift position. Our 1st shift hours are typically Monday through Friday with Saturday overtime scheduled as needed. Summary The Inventory Control Clerk will maintain the organizations inventory, perform cycle counting, physical inventories, receipt validation, audit functions, inventory transaction error tracing, and will maintain inventory records of transactions in the facility. This role also will be expected to assist in replenishment activities, order picking, order auditing, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with computerized inventory systems required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of AS-400 or Oracle Inventory software.
  • Regular attendance is an essential job requirement.
  • Ability to work as a team, including all related departments/plants or independently as required to achieve internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication skills, proficient keyboarding skills, organized and able to work with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift operator certification preferred.
  • Fork lift operators certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and controlling inventory practices to ensure accuracy.
  • Routinely counting physical inventory and submitting accurate counts.
  • Assist in determining root cause of inventory discrepancies.
  • Performing data entry for inventory transactions.
  • Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area
