About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining inventory control stocking, completing quality logs, rotating stock, ordering clinical and clerical supplies, sorting mail, while measuring to efficiently distribute and educate personnel on available stock items

Requirements

  • High school plus specialized, short-term training in computer management and customer relations.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Less than one year experience in inventory control.

Nice To Haves

  • Admin support experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently maintain a cost-effective inventory of office and medical goods.
  • Procure rental equipment and oversee its timely return.
  • Effectively meet the needs of our customers by supplying sensibly.
  • Work with Administration in structure and completion of goals.
  • Participate as a team member with organized problem solving.
  • Respond to crisis, internal and external disasters, and security issues within facility.
  • Computer operation of Lawson ordering system, Office Depot, Standard Register, and other inventory databases and software.
  • Interact with vendors, including obtaining quotes for supplies and equipment.
  • Performs Quality checks for all responsible departments.
  • Sort incoming mail and distribute into employee mailboxes.
  • Maintains established practice policies and procedures, objectives, quality program, safety, environment and infection control standards.
  • Monitors hazardous waste pick up.
  • Maintains and monitors medical gas tanks and tank rooms in all areas of the facility, including main tank room.
  • Pull Respiratory equipment from patient care areas clean, set-up, and return for patient use to include but not limited to ventilators, bi-pap, high-flow oxygen devices.
  • Evaluate and coordinate equipment activities during bronchoscopy procedures by anticipating Physician and Therapist needs, equipment and necessary supplies.
  • Cleaning of bronchoscopy scopes after procedures and adhering to proper procedure for cleaning techniques and safety of instruments and equipment.
  • Check, maintain, and assure proper function of scope washers to include changing fluids and vendor/regulatory monitoring.
  • Maintain and process soiled equipment, work with supply services to evaluate broken or damaged parts.
  • Store and process broken equipment as directed.
  • Monitor and maintain standards of sterilization as recommended by manufacturer and the joint commission.
  • Transport patients to and from the Pulmonary department bronchoscopy as needed.
  • Must be proficient in covering for admin staff support to include patient scheduling for Pulmonary Services & EEG via EPIC in coordination with other departments necessary to support Bronchoscopy services.
  • Must complete payroll in the absence of the admin staff support person.
