The Audit Supervisor manages a team of auditors which may include a combination of internal and external auditors. Duties include overseeing the inventory audit process in multiple Operational Regions, scheduling audits within the regions, providing required support and documentation to all field auditors, and managing day-to-day audit operations to ensure compliance with all procedures and policies.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • You must have a valid driver’s license with no major offences, reliable transportation, and current liability vehicle insurance.
  • Must be willing to travel and agree to occasional overnight travel as required.
  • Must be able to perform the job summary responsibilities as described above and be proficient in MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Nice To Haves

  • Inventory auditing experience and retail experience in a convenience store environment preferred.
  • Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and/or improve audit relevancy and cost efficiency of the audit department.
  • Help analyze and communicate audit results to operations and assist with any follow-up to those results.
  • Review and approve all time sheets, expenses and activity reports of auditors and ensure compliance with all corporate and local policies.
  • Create and implement special projects deemed necessary by the business unit and/or the senior audit management team.
  • Engage with the audit team to improve communication and maintain staff efficiency in all audit processes and practices through training and coaching.
  • Maintain staff with effective hiring, training, and follow-up of new employees to ensure the audit staff comply with all policies and procedures.
  • Participating in meetings with the senior leadership team and operations to improve auditor presence and to communicate all upcoming changes in any related policies or procedures.
  • Increase personal and professional knowledge with educational workshops, training classes and required learning modules that are relevant to the job duties.
