About The Position

The purpose of the General Material Handler – Inventory position is to support weekly cycle counts and assist with year-end inventory processes. This role will complete cycle counts in the absence of the Inventory Specialist and help maintain organized warehouse inventory to ensure ongoing accuracy. Additional responsibilities include unloading, loading, and storing raw materials; transporting finished goods to the shipping area; moving in-process materials, racks, skids, and cylinders to production machines; and removing waste materials from the production area.

Requirements

  • General knowledge of cycle counting processes and inventory systems.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Working knowledge of the Iren system.
  • Basic knowledge of Lotus Notes applications.
  • Thorough knowledge of machine locations.
  • General knowledge of product lines and production process flow.
  • Understanding of tickets and documentation that align with materials.
  • Basic understanding of production schedules.
  • Ability to prioritize machine and production needs.
  • Thorough knowledge of storage areas for in-process, nonconforming, and packing supplies.
  • General knowledge of warehousing practices.
  • General knowledge of DOT and EPA regulations.
  • Thorough knowledge of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Thorough knowledge of job-specific quality documents and work instructions.
  • Knowledge of Tekniplex Driver Goals.
  • Frequent standing and walking throughout shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
  • Ability to operate forklift and other material handling equipment.
  • Ability to work in warehouse and production environments with varying temperatures and noise levels.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers and support groups.
  • Maintain raw material inventory, including loading, unloading, storing, and labeling.
  • Monitor machine productivity to ensure adequate product and supplies are available at all times.
  • Complete weekly cycle counts and assist with year-end inventory.
  • Complete cycle counts in the absence of the Inventory Specialist.
  • Maintain organized warehouse inventory to ensure ongoing count accuracy.
  • Provide timely and accurate administrative documentation.
  • Complete daily IVO checklist.
  • Empty and dispose of trash and scrap materials from machines daily.
  • Load, unload, ship, and store finished goods.
  • Transport finished goods to the shipping area.
  • Move in-process materials, racks, skids, and cylinders to machines.
  • Deliver UPS and FedEx packages to internal customers.
  • Stage materials at machines and upload scanners.
  • Contact Fork Truck Shop for equipment repairs as needed.
  • Charge and water forklift batteries as required.
  • Read and acknowledge JSAs, work instructions, and quality documents in a timely manner.
  • Participate as an active team member and serve as a resource to others.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
