About The Position

The Inventory Analyst is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and maintaining accurate inventory levels across the organization. This role ensures incoming purchase orders are properly tracked, inventory is correctly allocated, and all product locations within the system remain accurate. While this position does not create or place purchase orders, it works closely with vendors, purchasing, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure accuracy and smooth material flow.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in inventory control, supply chain, operations, or related functions.
  • Experience with web-based inventory platforms; Quickbase experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical mindset and problem solving ability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including professional vendor communication.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze inventory and workflow data.
  • Understanding of effective vendor/customer relationships.
  • Comfortable navigating and updating data within Quickbase or similar systems.

Responsibilities

  • Track and monitor incoming purchase orders to ensure accuracy in quantities, arrival dates, and inventory flow.
  • Confirm aluminum inventory receipt data.
  • Identify delays, discrepancies, or receipt issues and escalate as needed.
  • Analyze inventory patterns and provide insights to support operational decisions.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding delivery schedules, lead times, and shipment status.
  • Request date adjustments (move-ins/move-outs) based on operational needs.
  • Request expedited service when necessary to support production or customer commitments.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of what constitutes a healthy, professional vendor/customer relationship and communicate in a way that supports long-term business partnerships.
  • Maintain accurate location and bin assignments within Quickbase.
  • Ensure inventory is placed properly in assigned locations and confirm system alignment with physical inventory.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and work with warehouse teams to resolve issues quickly.
  • Conduct and support daily/weekly/monthly cycle counts.
  • Research and reconcile variances with high attention to detail.
  • Document findings and recommend process improvements to prevent recurring issues.
  • Consolidate inventory to ensure better counting and processing flows.
  • Monitor inventory allocations for sales orders, production builds, or customer requirements.
  • Ensure inventory is properly reserved, moved, and updated in real time.
  • Communicate shortages or conflicts to purchasing, planning, and operations teams.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, warehouse, production, and logistics teams to ensure seamless material flow.
  • Provide inventory reporting and metrics as needed.
  • Support process improvements that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and service levels.
