About The Position

Schaefer Plastics is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Accuracy Specialist to help ensure inventory integrity across our warehouse and production operations. This role is responsible for performing cycle counts, researching discrepancies, reconciling inventory issues, and maintaining accurate system records.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working both on the floor and in the system, has a strong eye for detail, and can partner effectively with warehouse, production, and purchasing teams to improve inventory accuracy and support operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Previous experience in inventory control, cycle counting, warehouse operations, or a related role
• Experience working with ERP systems and/or warehouse management systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with reports and data
• Experience using barcode scanners, RF devices, or similar inventory tools
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of inventory reconciliation, auditing, and transaction control
• Familiarity with continuous improvement or process improvement practices

Responsibilities

• Perform daily, weekly, and scheduled cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical inventory and system records
• Maintain accurate inventory data, including item locations, quantities, and transactions within ERP and/or WMS systems
• Review and analyze cycle count results to identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for improvement
• Partner with Warehouse, Production, Purchasing, and other internal teams to support inventory control processes
• Audit inventory locations and material transactions for accuracy and compliance
• Use barcode scanners, RF devices, and reporting tools to support inventory control activities
• Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions related to inventory variances
• Support physical inventory counts and other inventory-related initiatives as needed
• Help maintain an organized, accurate, and efficient inventory environment
