About The Position

We are seeking a seasoned and detail-oriented Inventory Accounting Manager to join our fast-paced and growing organization. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, both independently and collaboratively, and possess effective leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. This role requires excellent organizational and time management capabilities, along with a proactive approach to driving process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA required
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on manufacturing/inventory accounting
  • Prior manager experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to deliver impactful presentations to senior leadership
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to lead multiple initiatives concurrently
  • Experience with M&A integration and cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; JD Edwards experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills across all organization levels
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of inventory accounting, including policy development and enforcement, standard costing processes, reserve calculations, and physical inventory oversight
  • Analyze costing data and determine appropriate treatment for variances to standard across aggregate operations on a quarterly basis
  • Lead inventory integration efforts for acquired operations by developing and executing cross-functional integration plans
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline inventory processes across the organization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent application of inventory policies and procedures
  • Prepare insightful internal and external inventory reporting, including advanced analytics and dashboards to support divisional and executive decision-making
  • Supervise and mentor inventory accounting staff
  • Review monthly accruals and allocations across multiple divisions
  • Oversee account reconciliations and ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Evaluate and implement process improvements to enhance automation and efficiency
  • Manage SOX compliance and maintain documentation related to inventory processes
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed
