The CV Invasive Specialist performs duties necessary for cardiac catheterization procedures at a technical and professional level requiring some proctoring and supervision of technical detail. The Specialist performs a variety of technical procedures that require some independent judgment. The CV Invasive Specialist assumes responsibility and initiative for designated areas and procedures as required. Lutheran is seeking a skilled Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist to join our high-performing team and contribute to life-saving procedures across a wide range of specialties. 🔬 State-of-the-Art Facilities Our cardiovascular department includes: 4 Cath Labs and 1 Hybrid Operating Room 3 Electrophysiology-equipped labs 2 Philips Biplane-equipped labs for neurovascular procedures All labs are fully equipped to support cardiac and vascular procedures. 📈 Diverse Procedure Portfolio We perform approximately 160 procedures per month, including: Cardiac: Diagnostic/interventional catheterizations, Impella support Electrophysiology: Ablations (AV Node, SVT, Atrial Fibrillation – Convergent & PFA, Atrial Flutter, PVC, VT), Watchman device, CRM device implantation Structural Heart: ASD and PFO closures Vascular: Endovascular and peripheral interventions, EVAR Neurovascular: Carotid stenting, embolization, coiling, thrombectomy (diagnostic & emergent) 🛠️ Cutting-Edge Technology Our labs feature: Philips imaging systems GE Mac-Lab hemodynamic monitoring Epic ~ Cupid for structured reporting Acist and Med Rad contrast injection devices We utilize advanced tools including Penumbra, Shockwave, Rotational Atherectomy, Volcano, Boston Scientific, Impella, balloon pump, laser, and 3D ICE technology. 🤝 Collaborative Culture You’ll be part of a close-knit, respectful team of: Cardiologists Electrophysiologists Neurointerventional Radiologists Vascular Surgeons Cardiac Surgeons Procedures are performed by three-person teams of RNs and technologists, with documentation via Epic and Cupid. Sedation is managed through RN-led conscious sedation or anesthesia, as appropriate. As an Invasive Cardiovascular Technician at Intermountain Health, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical team, ensuring our patients receive the best care by: Provides technical support during invasive cardiovascular procedures. Provides patient care under the supervision of the RN. Assists physicians in radiological imaging of cardiac and vascular procedures, acts as scrub assistant, maintaining sterile conditions during clinical procedures. Operates imaging equipment and works in the control room monitoring and documenting procedure images and events. Educates patients and families regarding the procedure and about the expectations of the procedure. Teaches patient and family about pre and post procedure physical conditions. Assists in maintaining order and cleanliness of the unit. Maintains appropriate stock levels for complex interventions and diagnostic procedures. Completes daily, progress and discharge documentation according to departmental standards. Accurately documents productivity information.
