About The Position

This position is full time, days, at Methodist Hospital. Independently performs simple and/or complex IONM cases in OR and IR with minimal technical supervision and providing accurate, high quality Neurodiagnostic testing. Trains and precepts junior team members. Meets patient needs, demonstrate willingness to learn new skills, providing accurate and high quality Neurodiagnostic testing. Communicates effectively with all physicians (oversight neurologist, surgeon, anesthesia, etc.) per communication guideline. Performs simple troubleshooting; Electrode problem, simple computer issues, able to identify common artifacts, modify monitoring programs to adjust to specific surgical needs from a case-to-case bases. Promotes a cooperative working relationship with each other, physicians, other disciplines, and the public by facilitating and enhancing communication, displaying honesty and respect, displaying sensitivity to cultural differences, and expressing and accepting feedback in a professional manner.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent years of experience is required.
  • Requires 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Requires registry in CNIM.
  • Requires ability to meet all requirements of competencies in which Registries are held.
  • Requires initiative towards the application of tests and modifies established protocols to fit patient needs.
  • Requires manual dexterity, visual acuity and the ability to concentrate for extended amounts of time under stressful conditions.
  • Requires strong data acquisition, analysis, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Requires ability and tolerance to care for patients of all ages.
  • Requires current BLS certification.

Responsibilities
