About The Position

Responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the daily functions and workflow of assigned departmental personnel. Supervises Neurophysiology personnel involved in EEG, EMG, EP, IONM. Ensures department rules, regulations, procedures and protocols are properly followed; and other duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Provides direct supervision of the Neurodiagnostic staff. Evaluates and reports on staff performance by providing feedback, education and mentoring on duties performed. Develops policies and procedures and training materials and provide education for overall development of the clinical staff. Supervises and provides direct patient care in accordance with accepted clinical standards while utilizing the department process. Makes frequent patient inquiries/rounds to assure the quality and appropriateness of patient care. Identifies areas needed for improvement in patient care delivery and plans for effective change. Serves as a resource to staff, colleagues and other departments. Prepares patient care assignments considering the skill mix and competence of the employees and the patient care needs. Assures a safe patient care environment. Coordinates the maintenance repairs and environmental health needs for the department. Assures safety/emergency checks are done according to department standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university is preferred
  • Registered through the Neurodiagnostic credentialing board and in addition holds one of the following credentials in the Neurodiagnostic services overseen, which can include but not limited to R. EEG T., EP T., CLTM, R. NCS. T., CNIM
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in performing Neurodiagnostic procedures in a patient care environment with at least 1 year supervisory/leadership experience
  • CPR certification is required

Nice To Haves

  • ACLS certification is preferred
