About The Position

Activity Supervisor MCCH Fitness Center , University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point The Activity Supervisor direct s indoor and outdoor intramural activities including tournaments and leagues for Intramurals . They are responsible for making league and tournament schedules and keeping all necessary statistics ; keeping accurate records ; setting up events and examining facilities and equipment for safety hazards; sending status updates for events regarding weather or other cancellations ; and maintaining a safe and pleasant atmosphere for intramural participants. This position reports to the Intramurals Supervisors Student Manager and the Recreation Programs Manager .

Requirements

• Applicants must be available to work 5-15 hours per week during the semester with a minimum of 2 scheduled office hours per week and must attend staff meetings and events as necessary. This may include additional evening and weekend hours on an "as needed" basis.
• Successful applicants must complete Adult CPR, AED, and First AID certification courses within 8 weeks of beginning employment . Certification sessions will be provided by the University Centers. These certifications must be kept up to date throughout employment with the University Centers .
• Where applicable, Concussion Protocol Training will also be provided by the University Centers and must be completed within the same timeframe .
• The Activity Supervisor must be at least a part-time student (enrolled in a minimum of 6 undergraduate or 5 graduate credits) and be in good academic standing (cumulative and semester GPAs of 2.0 or higher) at the time of hiring and throughout employment.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with programming and organization and/or previous experience as a supervisor/manager is preferred.
• Applicants will gain k nowledge of total intramural activity being supervised, including rules and guidelines , but previous experience with an intramural sport is ideal.
• Preference will be given to qualified candidates with at least two semesters remaining at UWSP.
