About The Position

The Public Schools of Brookline (PSB) serves over 7,500 students in Kindergarten to grade 12. We operate eight elementary (K-8) schools and one high school in the Town of Brookline. POSITION OVERVIEW: The Public Schools of Brookline is seeking a Track and Fiel d Coach for the Spring Intramural Season . The Track and Field Coach is responsible for the following:

Requirements

• Knowledge of rules and understanding of middle school athletics.
• Concussion awareness training certification
• All employees must undergo a CORI verification and fingerprinting process prior to the start of their employment.
• Current authorization to work in the United States- must have authorization by first day of employment
• All employees must be vaccinated and maintain full vaccination as a condition of employment or work as an on-site vendor/contractor, unless they receive approval for a documented medical or religious exemption in accordance with relevant state and/or federal law.

• Relevant coaching experience working with Student Athletes.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for planning and implementing all team activities.
• Collaborates with the District Intramural Coordinators to participate in the track and field meets.
• Communicates necessary information with all athletes and families
• Works with the Building Sports Coordinator to implement rules and regulations.
• Develops sports-specific skills and for all players.
• Models sportspersonship, good sports conduct and an inclusive environment.
• Provides a positive atmosphere for all players, coaches and spectators.
• Encourages school spirit.
• Reports to Building Principal and the Building Sports Coordinator.
