About The Position

The International Freight Forwarding Sales Specialist position is a critical role within the International Sales Business Development Department, designed for individuals who are passionate about driving sales and expanding market presence in the freight forwarding industry. This hybrid/office role offers a competitive salary ranging from $75,000 to $125,000, depending on experience, and is ideal for candidates who possess a hunter mentality and have a book of clients or business. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing sales of import/export services, specifically in air and ocean freight, while collaborating closely with the Branch Manager and Vice President of Sales to exceed revenue targets and promote the company's services within a designated territory. In this role, the Sales Specialist will engage in various activities aimed at developing new business opportunities through thorough research, prospecting, and qualifying potential clients. The position requires a proactive approach to increasing market share within the assigned territory, achieving financial budgets for volume, revenue, and profit. The Sales Specialist will also be tasked with successfully closing new business deals and onboarding new clients, while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients to ensure high levels of satisfaction and resolve any sales or delivery issues that may arise. Additionally, the role involves working closely with the Pricing team to develop competitive pricing strategies and customer rate quotes, monitoring clients' credit lines in accordance with company guidelines, and maintaining the company's CRM system. Regular communication with management, including monthly budget reviews, is essential to track progress and align on sales strategies. The Sales Specialist will also manage client relationships by utilizing established tools to meet and exceed targets, ensuring timely completion of customer requests, and adhering to service level agreements.
