USD 480 is hiring for the position of: Interventionist Up to $5,000 sign on bonus. An Interventionist is a certified teacher that provides differentiated instructions to students in a classroom/small group/ individual setting for them to master academic content and experience. Role of Interventionist: Some pull out sessions may be necessary based on student needs Interventionists provide instruction using content-based lessons in conjunction and in close collaboration with the regular classroom teacher. Documentation of progress monitoring and interventions offered to students. provide lessons that are different from Tier 1 instruction. Conduct/attend SIT meetings Collaboration: working collaboratively with subject-area or grade-level teachers is part of the interventionists' role Ultimately, combining the teacher of subject matter with language development and/or concept/skill development specific to that subject area constitutes the ideal learning experience. This type of collaboration requires a high level of interdependence on the part of the teachers involved, but its potential to enhance learning for all will make efforts worthwhile.
