About The Position
Primary Purpose: To deliver targeted, data-driven academic interventions—specifically for Tier 3 students—in reading or math. The interventionist works in small group or one-on-one settings to accelerate student progress, and collaborates with campus staff to support MTSS processes and student academic success.
Requirements
- Valid Texas Teaching Certificate
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field, Master’s preferred
- Minimum of three-five years successful classroom teaching experience
- Demonstrated success in implementing academic interventions
- Experience analyzing student data and using it to guide instruction
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Trustees may find appropriate.
- Deep understanding of Tiered Intervention (MTSS/RTI) frameworks
- Knowledge of high-impact instructional strategies for reading or math
- Familiarity with intervention programs and progress monitoring tools
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to disaggregate data and adjust instruction accordingly
- Capacity to collaborate with teachers, intervention teams, and leadership
