About The Position
Eligible for up to $1,500 sign-on bonus if hired! Baptist Health is currently looking to add an Interventional Radiologic (IR) Technologist to our Special Procedures Department at the Baptist South location. This is a part-time opportunity with a schedule of Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, 7:00 am-4:30 pm. At Baptist, our IR Technologists are highly trained radiologic technologists who work closely with interventional radiologists. The role of our IR techs is critical in performing minimally invasive, image-guided procedures by ensuring the imaging equipment, patient positioning, sterile field, and technical support are all properly managed. Requirements
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Required
- Registered Radiologic Technologist ARRT Required
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) Required
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) Required
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist Required
Nice To Haves
- Customer Service Experience
- Experience working in a hospital setting
- Experience with vascular imaging procedures
- Experience performing special interventional procedures
Responsibilities
- Operates imaging equipment and performs high-quality radiographic images. (including fluoroscopy)
- Functions as a member of a team performing interventional procedures.
- Maintains sterile techniques and assists with passing wires, catheters, & other tools.
- Preparing contrast media and injectors.
- Monitoring vital signs and documenting procedural notes and materials used.
- Promotes goodwill among co-workers and other departments, and has a positive, comforting demeanor with all patients.
- Is compliant with mandatory education and health requirements.
- Identifies, prepares, administers, and documents medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner in accordance with state and federal regulations or Lawful institutional policy.
