About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will operate specialized Angiography equipment within the lab. You'll have the opportunity to support and assist in minimally invasive procedures resulting in the safe and efficient diagnosis of patient conditions. While this is a technical position with no supervisory responsibility, you will play a critical role in maintaining our premier level of quality, in support of a world-class clinical team. Use your expertise in Interventional Radiology to assist with the diagnosis of rare and complex cases. Expand your knowledge, alongside the most highly respected professionals in the field. This is a full time day shift position based out of our NYP/Weill Cornell Hospital. During the training period, the schedule will be Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. Training typically lasts 6–7 months, depending on progress. After training is completed, schedule will transition to one of the following, based on departmental needs: 5 days/week: 7:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. 4 days/week: 7:30 a.m.–5:15 p.m. 4 days/week: 8:45 a.m.–6:30 p.m. Please note that the department is not open on weekends or holidays. A separate call team provides coverage during those times.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved school of Radiology
  • New York State License in Radiologic Technology
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of vascular anatomy/terminology and interventional equipment
  • Knowledge of sterile techniques and barriers

  • Prior Interventional Radiology experience in a hospital setting
