About The Position

As an Interventional Radiology Technologist PRN with HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital, you will be part of an organization devoted to giving back to the community. This position involves operating medical diagnostic imaging equipment and assisting in imaging procedures such as angiography and cardiac catheterization, as well as those performed in the Interventional Radiology Lab. You will prioritize patient care and demonstrate accountability and responsibility in performing procedures in a caring, compassionate, and respectful manner.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Associate Degree from a 2-year AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
• Valid ARRT credential.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 1-3 years licensed experience in Radiology; one year of IR experience preferred.
• Angio, Peripheral and Neuro experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe, competent manner in accordance with established operating procedures.
• Perform technical radiographic procedures accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist in administration of contrast media in accordance with departmental policy and procedure.
• Obtain high quality radiographic images and review quality of radiographs to ensure standards are met.
• Document all pertinent patient information prior to exam, including patient history, pregnancy, allergies, and informed consent.
• Maintain effective communication with patients and provide explanations of procedures.
• Communicate proactively and effectively with radiologists.
• Rotate call as assigned.
